I got a phone call today asking me to join a party. I was told: “000씨는 博士學位를 받으려고 했다”. Which translates – litterally – as he decided/agreed to receive a PhD degree. Mind you, it’s not like he’s been offered a degree for free [or not], fresh off Thai printers… The expression was interesting enough that I thought I’d blog it.

Meanwhile another friend of mine has also decided/agreed to receive a PhD degree, but we all worry it could be a PmD: Post-mortem Degree…
